Rock Gym Pro is quite simply the best available member management software available for the Climbing Gym Industry. Rock Gym Pro has allowed us to simplify, speed up, and better manage our front desk and membership operations. Training is easier (it makes sense now!), and the features of the software give our staff more tools to sell more memberships. The back office features include powerful reporting, charting and accounting features better help me work with and visualize my business (and potential opportunities!). In the four months after implementing both Rock Gym Pro and the membership structure and sales principles (that Rock Gym Pro suggests) we saw an 18% increase in our membership count over the previous year; an increase during a summer period that we usually lose members!

Over the past decade, I have worked closely with dozens of gyms around the country to put on climbing competitions and have also held positions at gyms as well. In doing so, I was privy to a multitude of different POS systems, including the nuances of each. When we began looking for a POS system for Movement Climbing + Fitness here in Boulder, I knew which the top few were and had just heard of Rock Gym Pro. I was skeptical because it was free – let’s be honest: who wouldn’t be? Once installed, RGP was a snap to learn and is incredibly user-friendly. The front desk staff has few questions regarding how things work and finds the program easily navigable. For my monthly reports, the synchronization with Quickbooks in addition to the charting capabilities saves me literally hours of work each week.

For a numbers- and accuracy-oriented facility, RGP is the way to go. It is precise and yet allows enough flexibility so that you can tailor it to your specific gym’s needs. I would highly recommend not only the program itself, but also the monthly support features as well… thank you Andy!

I’ve managed climbing gyms or consulted in their operation for 15 years and have adapted a number of health club software products to the peculiarities that indoor climbing facilities present. Those packages never quite fit the bill and require numerous and cumbersome workarounds. In addition they are usually complex and difficult to learn resulting in long training periods and costly mistakes. It was with some skepticism that I sat down with Andy Laakmann to review Rock Gym Pro, but after seeing its simplicity, ease of use, and mistake saving double-checks, I quickly became a fan.

Rock Gym Pro is by far the most useful and effective program for climbing gym operations on the market today. The best way I can describe the first couple of weeks after opening a new climbing gym is to imagine jumping off a very high cliff into a deep lake. I have been in and around climbing gyms for over 10 years now. Most of these ten years, I worked at a gym. I had become used to using software that one of our members had designed in exchange for a membership.
